Job Site Safety Labels Canada

Twelve named labels for a working site, printed one at a time and contour-cut from outdoor-grade vinyl. You choose a set, and the set names every label inside it. The count is a promise with contents behind it rather than a bare quantity.

What is in each set

Essential - 4 labels: Hard Hat Area, Eye Protection Required, Hearing Protection Required, High-Visibility Vest Required. The four a crew reads at the gate.

Site - 8 labels: the Essential four plus Authorized Personnel Only, No Smoking, Report All Injuries and Keep Area Clear.

Full Site - 12 labels: all eight above plus PPE Required Beyond This Point, Tool Crib, Site Office and Waste and Debris. Every larger set contains the smaller one, so nothing is wasted by starting with four and adding the rest later.

Size and finish

Each label is 4 x 6 in (102 x 152 mm) as printed, in every set. Matte is an outdoor-grade adhesive vinyl with a non-glare face. Reflective is an engineer-grade reflective vinyl, which returns light back towards a work light or a headlamp. This is useful on a gate, a bin or a trailer that gets approached in the dark. The finish changes the material, not the artwork: the same wording and the same layout print on both.

What these are, and what they are not

These are optional site identification labels. They are not statutory safety signage. Ontario's Construction Projects regulation, O. Reg. 213/91, s. 44, requires a DANGER sign to carry the word DANGER in legible letters at least 150 mm high, together with a statement that entry by any unauthorized person is forbidden. A 4 x 6 in label is 102 x 152 mm overall, so it cannot carry a 150 mm letter and that statement at the same time. Where s. 44 applies, post a sign that meets it.

Use these for the everyday marking a site does anyway: a PPE reminder at an entrance, naming the tool crib and the site office, keeping a waste area identified, marking the point where protection starts.

How they are made

Every word is typeset and outlined before printing, so the same label prints identically on a first order and a fifth. Nothing depends on a font being installed anywhere. Printed and contour-cut on our own print-cut vinyl equipment, one label at a time, rather than bulk-run on a label line. Each order is proofed and released before it goes into production.
