No single province-wide EV-charging-sign standard is mandated in Ontario. Enforceability comes from property-owner authority under the Trespass to Property Act, s.2, plus your municipal bylaw or condominium declaration. The same legal basis as our standard private-property parking signs. Confirm your local bylaw and, for condos, your declaration and rules before posting. This product communicates a selected parking rule; it is not a government-issued permit, an electrical inspection record, or a charger-installation certification.

Why "Vehicle Actively Charging"

The most common EV-stall complaint from condo boards and commercial property managers is "ICEing". A parked, non-charging vehicle occupying a charging stall so a vehicle that actually needs to charge cannot. The "Vehicle Actively Charging" wording gives you enforcement language beyond a plain reserved sign, matching how many Ontario condo corporations already word their charging-stall rules under Municipal Act, 2001, s.100.

Choosing a Wording

"EV Charging Only" and "Reserved for Electric Vehicle" suit new charging installations where any EV may park to charge. "No Parking Except EV" and "Vehicle Actively Charging" suit sites with repeat ICEing complaints. "2-Hr EV Charging Only" adds a time limit for turnover on high-demand stalls. Common at condos and retail lots with more EV drivers than stalls. "Accessible EV Charging Only" pairs accessible-parking and EV-charging rules on one sign for a combined stall. Materials and Sizes

Every wording is available in 12 x 18 inch or 18 x 24 inch aluminum, in standard or reflective face. The 0.063-inch aluminum panel is pre-drilled for post or wall mounting and is built for outdoor exposure. Reflective face improves night and low-light visibility in parking structures and unlit lots.

Placement Guide

Mount at the head of the charging stall, 1.2 to 1.5 metres high, facing approaching traffic. For paired stalls, order one sign per stall so each charging space has its own posted rule.

This was an expensive joke of a business. I used the online order form to pay, was repeatedly asked the same questions in confusing emails, promised they’d been sent out just to find out over a month later that they had not. I called twice. After many rings it went to some woman’s voicemail who never said the business name. I asked for a refund and had a reliable business make the decals in two days. Once I asked for a refund, TJ Stands Out (as terrible) instead sent them, pocketing my payment. I now have a box of crappy decals having already applied the good ones from a reputable business. Avoid this scam.

Good quality

After 40 emails I still didn't get the sign that I ordered. The most recent email Aug 6 stated that your company is sending the corrected sign with an arrow pointing left. I received the sign with the arrow pointing both directions. I gave 2 stars because your company tried to fulfill the order request and were great at communication (obviously)! I don't think that your company has the capacity to identify and correct an obvious mistake on your part or these signs are stock specimens in inventory. The metal that you used for the sign is not engineer grade as ordered. I don't think that the lettering is reflective as ordered. Either way I still didn't get what I paid for.
