The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has announced a commercial vehicle inspection blitz along major Ontario corridors. During these targeted enforcement events, officers focus heavily on vehicle safety and regulatory compliance. Missing or illegible lettering is one of the fastest ways to trigger a detailed inspection or receive a fine.
Essential Compliance Lettering for Ontario
To avoid avoidable delays during an MTO blitz, ensure your fleet meets all provincial and federal requirements. Key decals include:
- CVOR & NSC Numbers: Clearly visible identification numbers as required by law.
- GVW Decals: Accurate Gross Vehicle Weight markings on both sides of the vehicle.
- Conspicuity Tape: Retroreflective markings to increase visibility during night or low-light conditions.
